Image: One day, Anna Ramey, an undergraduate working in a canine genetics laboratory, gazed at her dog, a cocker spaniel’s long, floppy ears, and wondered: why? She took the question to her lab colleagues, and a project was born to map the genes responsible for ear length in dogs. The project was supervised by Dr. Leigh Anne Clark supervised the project, and their findings have been recently published in a peer-reviewed journal.
