Doctoral Student Research Interests: Fireflies communicate with their mates using flashes or glows of light. For optimal detection during mating displays, each species emits a specific light color ranging from green to orange. To understand more about firefly signal evolution, I am studying how this range of light color is produced. Our research integrates behavior, field biology, and comparative transcriptomics. Teaching & Outreach: I support the Writing Intensive Program as a Teaching Assistant and volunteer with EcoReach (student-led outreach group). Mentors: Dr. Kathrin Stanger-Hall and Dr. John Wares Education Education: BSc, Neuroscience & Behavior 2015 University of New Hampshire, Durham, NH Research Research Areas: Genomics and Bioinformatics Evolutionary Genetics
